Spent a hectic evening assembling my Russian stuff for next weekend as it was all rather last minute. Found time to practice putting on my puttees again.

Guns tonight. Food tomorrow. Camping gear on Thursday.

Cheers
Martin

...came on leaps-and-bounds while furthering my Vickers rebuild! Just need to do some painting, implanting of the Ver1 gearbox and mend/rebuild the spade grips.

Yes, they do look really effective! You guys are good prop builders (and, but the looks of it, good at photo shoots too!).

Was lucky enough to be photographing a football match in Southampton when we had a Spitfire flypast for the 75th anniversary of its first test flight.

Interesting story about that spit, and the pilot who flies it. She only started flying after her husband (who restored the plane) died a while back. Now for a bit of irony - the old Supermarine works at Eastleigh now has a bloody great big Mercedes Benz dealership on it. Who said the Germans lost?

Applied yet more beeswax to the straps on my waterbottle and scrubbed out the cup, which was looking a bit manky.

Cheers
